Disney Another Day

I really enjoyed our accommodations at Disney this time. We stayed at the Polynesian hotel with a lagoon view room. Oh, wow. That was fabulous. The rooms are larger than the usual rooms in the budget or moderate resorts and the amenities were nicer too. But what did it for me was the view.

We just walked out our room and could look right over and see the castle. It' is blocked in this view by the door frame (2nd from left). But we could wake up and the first thing we would see is the castle and at night, even hours after the park closed, we could see the castle all lit up.

We had breakfast out there one morning. Mickey waffles on the veranda looking at the castle, pretty darn sweet!

We had a towel Mickey greet us when we got to the room our first day.

.
Nice big room. That couch could pull out to a double sleeper.

Another view of the room. I loved the closet section there at the top of the picture. Two closets flanking a fridge and 'bar' area.

The two beds opposite the couch and desk area.

Our very cool bathroom. We had tiki gods on the wall as lamp sconces. Love how the theme was out there but not too tacky.

We didn't take a bunch of pictures in the main part of the hotel. I guess we should have, we were just too busy taking it all in.

Top 5 things I loved about the Polynesian
5. It is one of the original resorts - it has history.
4. Its location - very convenient.
3. You can get a Dole whip in Capt. Hooks snack shop
2. It has a monorail station right in the hotel (how cool is that??)
1. I got to experience a dream resort for the first time with Butch.

We have plans for another splurge trip in several years to come. I'd love to stay at the Grand Floridian - balcony room, lagoon view! :-)
